India’s Youngest Lottery Winner!
Indian nationals often do well in lotteries in the United Arab Emirates, particularly the Millennium Millionaire hosted by the Dubai Duty-Free. In the Series 323 draw of the Millennium Millionaire, held at Dubai International Airport on Tuesday, 4th February, there was indeed another Indian national that took the top prize of $1 million (over Rs 19 crore), but this winner was not the same as most other lottery winners.
That is because when Ramees Rahman decided to take part in the Millennium Millionaire raffle he purchased his ticket online, under his son’s name, Mohamed Salah. Rahman had been playing the lottery for about a year before this but had never won anything to date. So, you can imagine his surprise and joy when his son’s winning ticket, number 1319 was selected as the winning ticket in the draw. Good fortune has definitely smiled on Rahman’s family because his son could literally have a lifetime to enjoy the benefits of such a win - as Mohamed is only one year old!
Rahman said of the win: “I am extremely delighted of this great news and I thank Dubai Duty-Free for this amazing promotion. My son’s future is now well secured.” This news makes Mohamed one of the youngest lottery winners in the world!
